- Teach diving lessons.
- Greet visitors and provide information on pool and diving facilities.
- Enforce pool policies, rules, and regulations.
- Recognize and respond effectively in emergencies.
- Complete records and reports as needed.
- Monitor facility and equipment to ensure safety.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
- Completed a minimum of 2 years of participation in any competitive diving program (club team, high school, college, etc.).
- Evidence of previous successful coaching experience preferred.
- MN coaching license preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in diving safety and techniques.
- Demonstrated leadership and public relations skills.
- Evidence of passion for working with children.
- Evidence of positive interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to both children and adults.
- Evidence of ability to accept direction and work as a team member.
- Evidence of understanding of and willingness to abide by confidentiality policy and practice.
- Demonstrate ability to take initiative.
- Proven record of punctuality and responsibility.
- Evidence of good human relations skills in working with students, staff, parents and community.
Wages:
Starting pay is $15 per hour depending on experience and certifications. Rates for this position can be found in Appendix
D. Not medical or dental benefit eligible.
To create a fun learning environment during the diving classes. Coaches should be able to empower every participant with the skills, knowledge, and confidence in their diving ability.
