We are currently seeking an experienced Automotive Journeyman Sprinter Van Technician to join our dynamic service team and contribute to our continued success.

As a Sprinter Technician at Sears Imported Autos, you will play a vital role in our service team, contributing to the efficient and accurate diagnosis and repair of Sprinter van vehicles. This position requires a skilled technician with expertise in various areas of repair, ensuring that work is performed in accordance with dealership and factory standards.

Diagnostic Expertise:

• Efficiently and accurately performs work as outlined on repair orders.
• Diagnoses the cause of malfunctions and executes necessary repairs.

• Collaborates with the parts department to obtain required parts.
• Saves and tags parts, when necessary, particularly for warranty purposes.
• Communicates promptly with the service advisor regarding additional work, changes to outlined work, or delays.

• Documents all work performed and recommendations on the repair order.
• Adheres to federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know.

• Conducts road tests on vehicles as required.
• Supervises apprentice technicians when assigned.
• Reports machinery defects or malfunctions promptly.
• Ensures cleanliness of customers' vehicles and the overall shop area.

• Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
• Stays updated on manufacturer technical bulletins.

• Automotive experience or a degree from a technical school is required.
• Mercedes-Benz experience is preferred but not required.
• Must have own tools; special tools will be provided by the dealership.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and possess a clean driving record.

• Competitive flat-rate pay ranging from $65,000 to $125,000+ annually.
