Retail Sales Associate - Fort Worth, TX

This position is primarily responsible for assisting customers in our retail store while providing outstanding customer service. We don’t require ANY previous experience in the metals industry; just team members who are passionate and ready to learn new skills.

Hours:Monday - Friday 8:00am- 4:30pm

Job Type: Full-time

Primary Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and assist in finding product(s) suited for their unique needs
• Provide information to customers including lead times, product recommendations, guidance throughout the store, price quotes, and product availability
• Process material cuts using industrial saws
• Possess a general understanding of transportation, shipping, order flow, material characteristics and common uses, and production center capabilities
• Perform order management functions within an ERP system for retail and credit accounts such as applying discounts, processing payment in accordance with company policies, return material authorizations, credit memos, cash receipts, and order shipment
• Ensure the cleanliness and neatness of assigned store areas
• Replenish and straighten product stock in store
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives including sharing ideas, developing a proactive approach to guest experience, and creating new and innovative techniques to resolve customer inquiries

Position

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and use a keyboard and computer
• Demonstrate outstanding customer service and selling skills
• Professional communication in the English language, both written and verbal
• Ability to multi-task while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the department
• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independently
• Ability to safely lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally
• Must be able to type at minimum 50
  
  WPM
• General understanding of ERP/point-and-click software systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the metals and/or hardware
• Bilingual in Spanish and English
