Job Responsibilities
  • Supervise the daily meal preparation and service in accordance with Federal, State and local safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Collect information and maintain operational records, including daily food production records, inventory records, daily temperature logs and quality assurance forms.
  • Provide supervision over the kitchen staff, including completing performance reviews, approving time sheets, maintaining absence logs, inspecting work stations, and training new staff.
  • Work alongside Kitchen staff including: food prep, servings, cashiering and end of day tasks.
  • Oversee the receiving, storage and ordering of the building's food and supplies.
  • Attend monthly Team Leaders' meetings.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
  • Job Qualifications
  • MN Department of Health Certified Food Protection Manager Certificate or ability to obtain within 90 days of hiring date. Must maintain.
  • Membership in School Nutrition Association (SNA) and Level 4 completion within 90 days from date of hire. Must maintain.
  • Two years work experience in school food service or in a related food service operation.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Evidence of good organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction to coworkers, supervisor, the general public sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position (including the ability to lift up to 40 pounds) as assessed through a preplacement physical at Concentra.
