Inventory Coordinator

The Inventory Coordinator I is responsible for accurate inventory control and timely material support to medical device production lines. This role supports Abbott’s electrophysiology manufacturing operations and requires strong experience in clean room environments, SAP ERP systems, and regulated manufacturing processes.

• Perform kitting of medical device production orders in a clean room environment by accurately counting, verifying, and documenting components against work orders
• Execute material movements both physically and systemically using SAP ERP
• Perform Goods Receipts and material transactions in SAP ERP
• Assign and issue materials directly to production orders (beyond basic warehouse picking)
• Support production flow by ensuring materials are delivered accurately and on time
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with GMP and safety standards
• Work collaboratively within cross-functional teams to meet daily production goals
• Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and other material handling tools
• Read, understand, and strictly follow company SOPs, work instructions, and regulated procedures
• Handle chemicals in designated areas with proper training and PPE provided
• Balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Work overtime as required based on business needs
• Perform additional related duties as assigned
• 65%–75% of work performed in a clean room environment
• Remaining time spent in warehouse areas transferring materials
• Clean room PPE required: gown, hairnet, beard net (if applicable), shoe covers, gloves, safety glasses (mask optional)
• Safety shoes required for warehouse work involving equipment
• All PPE is provided

• Prior experience working in a clean room environment, preferably in medical device manufacturing
• Hands‑on SAP ERP experience, specifically for material transfers, kitting, and production order support
• Experience assigning materials directly to production orders is highly preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to read and comprehend process documents at a middle school level and follow regulated procedures precisely
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications

• Experience in medical device manufacturing and regulated environments
• Windchill experience is a plus but not required
• Experience with other ERP systems may be considered, though SAP proficiency is strongly preferred
• Warehouse‑only experience without clean room exposure is less competitive
