Position Overview

Silver Therapeutics’ General Manager (GM) leads our dispensary operations. This role is pivotal in shaping the in-store experience and ensuring operational excellence across all aspects of the dispensary’s functioning. The GM will be responsible for managing all day-to-day operations including opening and closing the store, inventory management, financial oversight, compliance adherence, and staff management. This position demands a leader who is adept at multitasking, has exceptional problem-solving skills, and can foster a positive, dynamic store environment.

Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership
  • Manage daily operations of the dispensary, ensuring smooth running from opening to closing.
  • Implement and supervise the store’s financial activities including budget management, payroll, cash handling, deposits, and P&L management.
  • Oversee all inventory procedures, from receiving products to conducting regular audits and maintaining accurate stock levels.
Compliance and Training
  • Ensure strict adherence to all compliance issues and stay prepared for unexpected regulatory inspections.
  • Proficient in the use of Dutchie and METRC to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Develop, update, and implement training materials to maintain high standards of staff performance and ensure compliance with the latest industry regulations.
Team Management and Development
  • Responsible for the full cycle of staff management including recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, conducting performance reviews, and when necessary, disciplinary actions and terminations.
  • Foster a supportive and professional environment for staff development and customer interaction.
Marketing and Customer Engagement
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote social media engagement, in-store promotions, and effectively communicate promotions and new products to customers.
  • Enhance customer education and experience by ensuring the team is knowledgeable and proactive in customer engagement.
Store Maintenance and Presentation
  • Manage store aesthetics and upkeep, including regular maintenance of bathrooms, exterior, and parking lot.
  • Ensure optimal store presentation and product placement to maximize customer satisfaction and sales.
Community and Vendor Relations
  • Engage in local community outreach to enhance the dispensary’s community presence.
  • Maintain and cultivate relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage supply chain logistics to ensure the best product offerings and prices.
Administrative Duties
  • Manage communications via company platforms such as Slack and email, ensuring all store activities are well-coordinated and documented.
  • Handle administrative tasks including managing timecards, approving PTO, and ensuring all invoices and financial documentation are accurately processed and sent to accounting.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a General Manager in a retail or dispensary setting, with a strong understanding of the cannabis industry and regulatory environment.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing a store's budget and financial activities.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred; significant industry experience can substitute for formal education.
