Senior Data Scientist

Senior Data Scientist – 3M Company, Maplewood, Minnesota (hybrid)

Invent and develop data science technologies that create new opportunities or support existing 3M industrial adhesive and tape products. Use a variety of programming languages to quickly develop and optimize proof‑of‑concept algorithms for commercialization. Lead and collaborate with research teams across the enterprise to build capabilities and applications that use scientific, mathematical, and computational skills.

Qualifications:

• Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, or Information Science.
• At least one year of work, internship, or coursework experience related to:
• Deep learning, machine learning, natural language processing, data science, computer vision, and artificial intelligence.
• Full life‑cycle application development within an agile framework (requirements gathering, technical design, implementation, testing, documentation, and maintenance).
• Data preprocessing, analysis, model building, and deployment.
• Python for data analysis and backend development.

Position may be eligible for telecommuting one day per week from within commuting distance to Maplewood office.

Pay Range: $97,032 - $120,838 per year.
