As a Developer working closely with Data Insights team, you will support the growth initiatives of the business by directly owning the development, implementation, customization, and maintenance of new and existing data products. Your drive for continual innovation and evolution will be key to your success. This role resides within the global consulting organization with the objective to deliver data insights and recommendations to our clients to clients to optimize travel costs and manage global corporate travel programs.

• Develop and implement new data products
• Maintain and improve the performance of existing scorecards and suite of products
• Lead or assist in building new models and products to anticipate future clients’ needs
• Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues
• Test and maintain data products to ensure strong functionality and optimization
• Explore, recommend improvements to existing products and processes
• Develop and optimize algorithms to reflect business logic and analytical methodologies
• Structure and share knowledge via necessary documentation

• Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail and very strong problem solving skills
• Ability to think creatively and proactively
• Team player, ability to build strong relationships with peers and other co-workers across geographies
• Time management and multi-tasking skills allowing for multiple projects being worked at the same time
• Comfortable with communicating to various levels in the organization including Directors and above, Managers, and external parties
• Strong capacity to capture business needs and translate them into technical design and development requirements

• Must know Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint etc) and in particular advanced skills in Excel; knowledge of Access, VBA and Power Query
• Knowledge of Hadoop-based big data ecosystem is a plus
• Must master at least one relational database technology and its query language:
  Oracle SQL Plus, Postgres, Hive, Impala or other
• Knowledge at least one programming language; knowledge of web application framework (e.g. R / Shiny or Python/ Django) a plus
• Knowledge of version management tools (e.g. Git) and Linux shell commands is a plus

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics or related field of study
• Master Degree is a plus

3-5 years relative experience in data analysis and reporting, data product development, or other data and technology fields
