Platform Principal Engineer – Infrastructure Security Services

Join Huntington National Bank as a Platform Principal Engineer in the Infrastructure Security Services Team.

• Design, research and implement network security technologies, focusing on NAC and firewall infrastructure aligned with NIST SP 800‑207 Zero Trust Architecture, PCI, SOX, CIS, and FFIEC.
• Show expertise in NAC and segmentation solutions such as Cisco ISE, Elisity, Forescout, Fortinet or Arista AGNI and understand 802.1x, Trust Sec and Security Group Tags (SGT) in a distributed SD‑WAN environment.
• Build and enhance network security solutions with a “secure and automate first” mindset that scales with growth.
• Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts using Jinja2/YAML and Ansible to manage configuration baselines.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and provide SME level support and escalations.
• Communicate long‑term technical and business vision to large audiences regularly.
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture for business and technical requirements to guide future platform decisions.
• Maintain professional and technical skillsets while staying abreast of emerging technologies.
• Create high‑level and low‑level design (HLD, LLD) drawings in Visio, PowerPoint, Word or other media.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 7 years of Infrastructure Solution Delivery experience in enterprise‑wide security environments.
• Strong leadership, verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Preferred:
  Master’s degree in Cybersecurity or STEM, prior experience in financial services, and certifications such as CISSP, PCNSA/PCNSE, CCNP, CEH, Security+.
• Proven track record of designing and building network security solutions from the ground up.

93,000 USD – 189,000 USD annually. Compensation varies with location, experience and performance; additional incentive plans may apply.
