Assist in the development and oversight of resident services, including planning and coordinating opportunities for residents that promote a level of health, wellbeing, engagement and growth. Required Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent education is preferred; preference given to persons who have completed courses in therapeutic recreation.
  • Minimum one year experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • If operating company vehicle you must be twenty‑one (21) years of age and meet the MVR organization standards.
  • Ability to work with residents of varying levels of responsiveness.
  • Motor coordination and manual dexterity required in working with craft projects and other resident activities.
  • Able and willing to work flexible hours, such as during evenings and weekends for planned activities events.
  • Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in‑servicing and documentation.
Essential Functions
  • Assist in planning, scheduling and conducting lifestyle programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual opportunities for the residents.
  • Attend community planned functions and assist with coordinating the event from beginning to end—including setup, running, and breaking down for the event.
  • Help plan appropriate programs for holidays and special events.
  • Assist with the setup of holiday decorations for the community.
  • Provide ongoing communication with residents and, as necessary, family members.
  • Assist the Director in leadership of the wellness program.
  • Address resident groups and other groups on subjects of common interest.
  • Interact with residents, guests and staff in an atmosphere of hospitality.
  • Protect the privacy of the resident when communicating oral and written information.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
