Job Summary
To provide rehabilitative services to adults with mental illness, instruction, support, and assistance for psychiatric stability, social competencies, emotional adjustment, and independent living skills.
DescriptionThe Mental Health Practitioner works under the ARMHS Treatment Director and Clinical Supervisor in Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS).
Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services provides intensive services to individuals age 18+ with a mental health diagnosis. Practitioners meet clients in homes or communities to teach basic living and social skills.
Qualified candidates will provide skills training in the individual’s home or community, work day and evening hours, independently. Full‑time (40 hrs) or part‑time (32 hrs or under) options available.

- State‑approved mental health practitioner classification.
- Completed at least 30 semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) in behavioral sciences or a related field and at least 2,000 hours experience providing services to adults with mental illness, substance use disorder, traumatic brain injury, or developmental disability.
- Completed practicum or internship with direct interaction with adult clients focused on behavioral sciences or a related field.
- Master’s or other graduate degree in behavioral sciences or a related field.
- Pass criminal background check, valid driver’s license in good standing, current auto insurance.
Self‑starter with teaching skills, flexible and adaptable, with foundational knowledge of motivational interviewing.
