Job Description

The Senior Finance Business Partner serves as a strategic advisor to business and transformation teams, providing comprehensive financial insights that guide investment decisions and long-term planning. This role works closely with corporate FP&A, business unit FP&A, and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial rollups, capital planning, and program performance visibility.

Key Responsibilities Business Partnership
  • Collaborates with business leaders and transformation teams to understand and document KPIs that support cost-benefit analyses and business cases.
  • Serves as a trusted advisor on capital allocation, program prioritization, and strategic investment decisions.
  • Leads CBA meetings and develops compelling financial cases that articulate both cost and value.
  • Integrates KPIs and measurement frameworks into CBAs to guide decision‑making.
  • Creates financial analyses for post‑implementation reviews.
  • Facilitates the finance portion of monthly business reviews for each program.
Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Leads program‑level budgeting conversations with business partners, cross‑functional FP&A teams, and finance leadership.
  • Owns the rolling 12‑month forecast for assigned programs, including detailed risk and opportunity assessments.
  • Develops financial models to evaluate ROI, payback periods, and program viability using standardized CBA templates.
  • Performs scenario and sensitivity analysis to support strategic alternatives.
  • Prepares monthly accruals to ensure GAAP compliance.
  • Partners with accounting and program leaders to optimize capitalization strategies.
  • Reconciles FTE cost allocations and postings for program accuracy.
Reporting & Insights
  • Provides monthly financial performance insights and reporting packages to program teams.
  • Delivers program‑level crosswalks to forecast and budget to the Capital Controller by WD6.
  • Produces variance analysis for transformation leadership.
  • Ensures all financial information for governance meetings is complete and submitted at least seven business days in advance.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in finance, FP&A, strategic analysis, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting cross‑functional teams in matrixed environments.
  • Strong critical‑thinking abilities and advanced problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced setting.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare, insurance, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Background in capital planning, investment analysis, or transformation programs.
  • Experience with Workday, adaptive planning tools, or similar FP&A systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling methodologies.
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or similar advanced credentials.
