Mechanical Design Engineer

Base pay range

$30.00/hr - $45.00/hr

This role supports the design and development of lithium‑ion battery systems used in portable energy storage products. The engineer will work across the product lifecycle from initial concept through prototype, testing, analysis and production release.

• Perform mechanical design and detailed CAD modeling for battery system components and assemblies.
• Develop concepts and take designs through to production, including documentation for manufacturing.
• Conduct component testing and support system‑level validation activities.
• Perform analysis as required (thermal analysis and CFD) to inform design decisions and thermal management strategies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (electrical, test, manufacturing) to ensure product readiness.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline (must be degreed).
• Direct experience with lithium‑ion battery systems or energy storage product development.
• Proficiency with Solid Works or PTC Creo (Pro/ENGINEER).
• Experience with component testing and analysis, including thermal and CFD work.
• Ability to work onsite full‑time; no remote/hybrid option.

The client manufactures energy storage products and seeks candidates experienced in battery system mechanical design and thermal management. The role is hands‑on and requires coordination with testing and production teams.
