Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our manufacturing team in Minnetonka, Minnesota. This role is essential to ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Process and match invoices with supporting documents such as purchase orders.

- Verify necessary approvals for all invoices and payment requests.

- Accurately code invoices and payment requests in line with company policies.

- Prepare and execute weekly cash requirement reports and check runs.

- Audit and process employee expense reports for compliance.

- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.

- Manage accounts payable documentation, including 1099 preparation.

- Track and maintain records of sales and use tax, ensuring proper reporting.

- Assist with month-end and year-end accruals and closing processes.

- Provide backup support for customer service and payroll duties as needed. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.

- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as Great Plains Dynamics.

- Strong ability to process and code invoices accurately.

- Experience with preparing check runs and financial reports.

- Knowledge of reconciling vendor statements and handling discrepancies.

- Understanding of 1099 preparation and sales/use tax reporting.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and external vendors.
