- Assign daily delivery routes and monitor driver performance.
- Provide guidance, motivation, and support to maintain team efficiency and morale.
- Route Planning & Optimization – Review and optimize delivery routes for cost‑effectiveness and timely execution.
- Coordinate with dispatch and warehouse teams to prioritize urgent or special deliveries.
- Monitor route performance and suggest improvements.
- Delivery Operations Management – Ensure all deliveries are completed within schedule and meet customer expectations.
- Oversee vehicle loading/unloading to ensure accuracy and prevent damage.
- Handle delivery‑related issues such as delays, returns, or customer complaints promptly.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting – Track and report team performance metrics such as on‑time delivery rate, fuel usage, and delivery success rate.
- Identify underperforming areas and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate daily delivery logs and records.
- Communication & Coordination – Serve as the communication link between delivery staff, warehouse, and management.
- Coordinate with customer service for delivery updates or problem resolution.
- Conduct regular team meetings to share updates, goals, and safety reminders.
- Compliance & Safety – Ensure all delivery operations follow company policies, road safety, and legal regulations.
- Monitor vehicle condition and report maintenance needs.
- Enforce safe driving and delivery handling practices among team members.
- Training & Development – Assist in training new drivers on routes, procedures, and customer service standards.
- Continuously improve team knowledge on delivery systems and company protocols.
- Customer Service & Quality Control – Ensure high‑quality delivery standards to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Investigate delivery errors or complaints and take corrective measures.
