About the OpportunityOur client, a growing industrial equipment and machinery solutions provider, is seeking an experienced Field Installation Crew Lead to oversee complex equipment installations across manufacturing and processing environments.
This is a hands‑on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in the field, enjoys leading crews, and has strong mechanical and welding expertise. You will be the go‑to leader on job sites — coordinating personnel, managing equipment, ensuring safety, and delivering projects on time.

Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise field installation crews (3–5 team members typical)
- Plan personnel, equipment, and material needs for each project
- Coordinate schedules with customers and internal management
- Verify materials and equipment upon arrival at job sites
- Establish project milestones and ensure timely completion
- Track and report crew hours for payroll and project management
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Perform and oversee hands‑on welding and mechanical installation work
- Operate forklifts, manlifts, welders, torches, plasma cutters, and cutting tools
- Enforce safety standards and maintain high‑quality workmanship
- Travel extensively to customer sites (including weekends as needed)
- 5+ years of field installation experience in machinery, heavy equipment, or industrial environments
- Proven crew lead or supervisory experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Hands‑on welding expertise (required)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment
- Valid drivers license with a good driving record
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%
Preferred:
- Welding certification
- Forklift or heavy equipment certifications
Experience working in small-to-mid‑sized industrial companies
