Position Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bridge Carpenter to join our construction team.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct, assemble, and install forms for bridge structures, retaining walls, and other structural components.
- Interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure proper construction alignment and dimensions.
- Safely operate hand and power tools to cut, shape, and install materials such as wood and rebar.
- Assist in erecting scaffolding and temporary structures for bridge support and maintenance.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and worksite in clean, organized condition.
Qualifications:
- Union Membership: Must be a current member in good standing.
- Minimum 2 years of carpentry experience, preferably in bridge or heavy civil construction.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
- Experience with forming and shoring systems.
- Familiarity with rebar installation and concrete placement techniques.
