We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Machinery Field Service Mechanic to join our team on the day shift. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy machinery to ensure their safe and efficient operation. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems, along with a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.

• Must be able to diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service equipment as assigned by the supervisor.
• Must be knowledgeable about small engines and heavy machinery for a civil contractor, including brands like John Deere, CAT, Volvo, and Komatsu.
• Experience with and understanding of using computer diagnostic and analysis systems such as Cummins Insite, Davis, CAT ET, and others.
• Broad and thorough understanding of vehicle systems including engines, hydraulics, electronics, emissions, and power trains across various brands of heavy equipment, semi-trucks, and trailers.
• Strong work ethic, leadership by example, and promotion of company values. Conduct business with integrity and strive for excellence. Motivated to succeed and improve skills.
• Perform responsibilities safely in a busy, sometimes stressful environment, working under varied weather conditions.
• Observe and comply with all safety rules.

• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals.
• Operate power equipment during normal, night, adverse weather, and emergency conditions, including hand and foot controls.
• Perform routine maintenance and monitor gauges and indicators to ensure proper equipment functioning.
• Complete necessary paperwork accurately.
• Maintain a clean work area and care for all tools, machines, and equipment.
• Accurately complete daily digital timecards.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

• Class A CDL required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in diesel mechanics preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of diesel engines, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Strong diagnostic skills and troubleshooting ability for complex mechanical issues.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, computerized systems, and software.
• Welding and fabrication skills.
• Understanding of safety procedures and regulations for semi-trucks and trailers.
• Strong work ethic, ability to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Good communication skills for interacting with customers, supervisors, and team members.
