Underground Utility Locator

Overview

Vannguard Utility Partners Inc. is seeking Underground Utility Locators. Salary: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour. Training class available. Candidates should be self-motivated, safety committed, detail oriented, and comfortable working outdoors.

• Drive to sites to respond to routine ticket requests, emergencies, and relocations.
• Utilize mapping tools and location information to locate underground utilities including electrical cables, gas lines, and other utilities.
• Indicate utility locations using paint, flags, and communicate relevant information to excavation personnel or authorities.
• Clean and maintain vehicle and all issued equipment.
• Respond to after‑hours emergency call‑outs according to the established rotation schedule.

• High school diploma or GED
• Computer skills
• Valid driver’s license in applicable state of employment
• Ability to work overtime when duties cannot be performed within a normal work schedule
