PURPOSE

OF POSITION

Red River Grain/Hefty Seed Company is inviting an Experienced Agronomy Sales Manager to join our team. This position is responsible for managing sales staff and sales of products and services.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing sales team to support growth within the sales territory.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance management to sales staff, including strategy discussions, goal reviews, and weekly planning.
  • Develop, implement, and execute sales strategies through the sales team, aligning individual goals with company-wide objectives.
  • Create and oversee structured sales call strategies for the team to effectively serve existing customers and develop new business.
  • Lead by example by maintaining key customer relationships and supporting team members in closing opportunities.
  • Drive year-over-year growth in sales volume, ensuring annual goals are met or exceeded through effective team execution.
  • Foster a culture of excellent customer service, ensuring the sales team proactively supports growers and delivers value-driven solutions.
  • Work with operations to support spring and fall product distribution and ensure customer needs are met.
  • Ensure the sales team actively participates in Hefty trainings, Field Days, Farmer Meetings, and marketing initiatives.
  • Promote the company brand through community involvement and encouraging team participation.
  • Oversee timely completion of administrative responsibilities by the sales team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Agronomy related experience and/or Agronomy degree.
  • A competitive drive and a track record of success in sales.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a sales team.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to help in all areas of need.
COMPENSATION
  • Compensation with base pay, company benefits package, and a bonus structure that rewards performance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $ per year
