The position is “Restoration Supervisor I,” based out of Jordan, MN
. Approximately 5% of the workियों will be performed at the RES field office and 95% in the field. You aprovechare travel up to 80% within the region, with 20% overnight stay (Per Diem and Hotel provided) across MN, ND, IA.
- You’ll lead field crews in restoring real ecosystems
- You’ll help execute planting, seeding, and invasive species management plans
- You’ll use a variety of equipment and tools, including GPS and sprayers

Morning Briefing & Safety Checks: Conduct daily tailgate safety meetings, review PPE usage, and ensure crew awareness of hazards and protocols.
Field Operations & Equipment Oversight: Coordinate and supervise ecological restoration tasks, operating trucks, UTVs, brush cutters, skid steers, and other equipment. Make use of GPS mapping systems to navigate and ensure planting and seeding are executed per project plans and quality standards.
Crew Training & Quality Assurance: Identify native and invasive species, perform herbicide mixing and application, install plants and seed, and maintain equipment. Conduct QA checks on in‑house operations and subcontractor work, taking corrective actions as needed.
Administrative & Coordination Tasks: Code timecards, submit expense reports, upload field photographs, and update project schedules. Communicate resource needs or project updates with the Restoration Manager and Operations Manager.
Physical Requirements: Work outdoors in all weather, with exposure to insects and poisonous plants. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.
We would like to talk to you if you have many of the following:- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- 3+ years of ecological restoration experience, including planting plans and invasive management, and prescribed burn operations. Valid S130/190 certifications are required as applicable.
- Proficiency in operating large trucks (with trailers), UTVs, brush cutters, augers, chainsaws, skid steers, tractors, and sprayers.
- Strong background in equipment maintenance and proactive downtime reduction.
- Ability to mix and apply herbicides correctly and manage invasive species programs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid CPR‑AED/First Aid certification.
- Valid DOT medical card.
- Valid Commercial Pesticide Applicipients License in applicable state(s).
