Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Evening Shift – LTC
Facility: Good Samaritan Society – Mountain Lake, MN
Location: 745 Basinger Memorial Dr, Mountain Lake, MN 56159, USA
Shift: 8‑hour Evening Shift (8 Hours – Evening Shifts)
Schedule: Full time – 40 hours per week
Salary Range: $27.00 – $36.00 per hour
Job SummaryThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long‑term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. The LPN performs nursing assessments, administers medications, provides technical support, documents resident interactions, and communicates with the interprofessional care team. The LPN also counsels residents and families on prevention and treatment plans.
Responsibilities- Perform nursing assessments and develop resident‑specific care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Document resident interactions, medication/administered outcomes, behavior, activity, and dietary information.
- Assist with physical and psychosocial needs of residents.
- Maintain effective working relationships with residents, family, and health‑care providers.
- Communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Perform any related duties as assigned.
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse; associate degree preferred.
- For positions requiring IV therapy, graduate from a North Dakota Board–approved AASPN program with IV therapy in curriculum or complete an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of 400 hours of LPN experience at another facility, or completion of a supervised clinical experience at a pre‑licensure nursing program.
- Current, unencumbered LPN license with the state nursing board (and/or multi‑state licensure privileges).
- Must obtain and maintain required department competencies and certifications, complete required continuing education units (CEU) and competency training.
