• Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care.
• Support professional nursing practice across settings and the continuum of care to meet patient and family needs.
• Function within the Mayo Nursing Care Model, planning, implementing, evaluating and communicating all phases of care for assigned patients. Utilize the ANA Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice as the basis for RN practice.
• Provide leadership through activities such as preceptor roles, informal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts.
• Delegate patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and adequacy of resources.
• Possess excellent communication skills; mentor and teach; and may participate on committees or projects.

This role is eligible for TN sponsorship. Successful sponsorship will require state licensure and completion of the Visa Screen or equivalent certification.

Student or graduate of a registered nursing program. All entry‑level associate degree registered nurses with an RN start date of April 1 2020 and after must provide documented evidence of program completion of a baccalaureate degree in nursing within five years from the last day of the month of the RN start date. All entry‑level associate degree registered nurses with an RN start date prior to April 1 2020 must provide documented evidence of program completion of a baccalaureate degree in nursing as stipulated by the degree requirement program in place at the time of hire.

One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is preferred.

• Current MN RN License
• BLS (Basic Life Support) for Health Care Providers required from one of the following programs – American Heart Association, American Red Cross.

• Pay Range: $42.84 – $65.84 per hour.
• Schedule:
  
  Part‑time, 12‑hour rotating day/night shifts, holiday rotation. 48 hours per week. Every 3rd weekend.

• Compensation is based on experience, education, and dedication. Includes tuition reimbursement program.
