Job Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides for and assists in meeting the TCU (transitional care unit) adult patients’ physical, emotional and psycho-social needs while adhering to facility, state and federal guidelines for Mayo health services skilled nursing facility – Lake City Care Center in Lake City, MN.

• Casual / on call
• Day, evening, overnight
• Must work a minimum of three shifts per month, which includes two weekend shifts per month and one holiday per year

CMS 3-star facility with a 4-star rating for staffing excellence and 4 star quality rating

• Monitors personal cares provided to assure consistency with each individual plan of care
• Administers medications and performs treatments per physician orders and facility policies
• Provides data relevant to the development of the plan of care
• RN - Assesses plan of care, resident goals and revises, modify plan of care as necessary
• Provides reports and documentation related to incidents, change of status and cares provided

• Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree – Registered Nurse
• Current MN RN license
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers
  • BLS is required upon hire and/or new hire must show proof that they are currently enrolled in a BLS class to renew or obtain their certification. BLS certification must be obtained within three weeks of hire date and before nurse can perform independent practice
• 0–1 years of experience

• 0–3 years of experience
  
  TCU LPN/RN experience
• Basic computer skills, Point Click Care knowledge
