The Nursing Assistant (NA) provides resident‑centered care in long‑term care settings, performing daily living assistance, basic health care needs, and supporting nursing staff. Responsibilities include bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital sign monitoring, transfer and mobility assistance, range‑of‑motion exercises, meal preparation, documentation, and participation in wellness and recreational programs.

Assist with procedures as needed, communicate changes in resident condition to charge nurses, collect body fluid specimens, provide housekeeping and laundry services, and participate in committees or task forces as required.

• High school graduate or GED (preferred but not required)

• Minimum age 16

• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long‑term care preferred

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or enrollment in a training program; certification required within four months of hire

• Completion of yearly competency testing and maintenance of at least 12 hours of continuing education annually

• Required state certifications maintained; UAP registry certification where applicable

• Driver’s license and medical clearance may be required for Sanford Category II Driver duties
