As we grow our impact and scale our work, we are seeking an experienced Individual Giving Manager to steward and grow our fundraising program.

Position Overview

The Individual Giving Manager is a new position and is part of the External Affairs team, reporting to the Director of External Affairs. This role will be responsible for individual giving with a focus on mid‑level donors and annual fund management. This includes donor database management, appeals, giving days and campaigns, cultivation, and stewardship activities. Direct work with donors will focus on new and mid‑level donors through tours, cultivation meetings, and other engagement activities.

A key function of this role will be supporting the strategic engagement of the CEO and Director of External Affairs with major donors and prospects.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working collaboratively across teams and engaging donors as part of a shared mission in a dynamic and change‑oriented organization. We are seeking someone who is data‑driven, organized, and people‑oriented.

Responsibilities Strategy and Planning
  • Support the development and own the implementation of the individual giving strategy in alignment with the organization’s priorities, including acquisition, cultivation, stewardship, and KPIs
  • Work with the Director of External Affairs and CEO to build individual giving portfolios and delegate responsibilities across portfolios, including management of a portfolio of 20‑25 mid‑level donors
  • Manage individual giving budget, including tracking and evaluating the impact of expenses, progress to goals, and annual budget development in coordination with the Director of External Affairs
Fundraising and Appeals
  • Build and maintain relationships with organizational constituents, including existing individual donors and potential donors like CSA members and volunteers, to grow individual giving
  • Align messaging and appeals with communications and marketing strategies
  • Formalize and implement donor appreciation and acknowledgement processes
Database Management and Analytics
  • Track and document donations and interactions in the CRM system, Bloomerang
  • Utilize data insights to establish annual KPIs and dashboards to evaluate strategy efficacy, providing monthly reports to the Director of External Affairs
  • Coordinate with the Director of Finance to reconcile contributions on a monthly basis
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of fundraising experience with proven ability to grow donor bases and contributions
  • Experience with managing donor databases and a preference for experience with continuous improvement in database practices and processes
  • Expertise in building effective donor journeys and fundraising campaigns across digital, mail, and in‑person appeals
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication, project management, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to engage and seek diverse perspectives for the best possible solutions and outcomes
