Job
LARGE MANUFACTURING PLANT IN MELROSE MN IS LOOKING FOR A SHARP AMMONIA REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN FOR THE 2ND AND 3RD SHIFT.
PREFER SOMEONE WITH A CARO OR RETA CERTIFICATION AND SOMEONE WHO HAS DEALT WITH HIGH-PRESSURE BOILERS.
SALARY: $23-$29 HOURLY (CAN PAY MORE FOR CANDIDATES WITH LINCESES AND CERTIFICATES)
Shift Differential: $.50
12PM-830PM AND 8:00 PM – 4:30 AM
JOB DESCRIPTION: Ammonia Refrigeration Technician
(Plant Utility Technician
- Refrigeration/Boiler Operator 3rd Shift)

Service all plant equipment through preventive, scheduled and emergency repair work orders.
Diagnose and perform repairs and calibrations on electromechanical and solid state of the art equipment.
Assist other team members in completing work orders/task per maintenance schedule.
May be part of the Emergency Response team.
Adhere to all NEC code regulations accordingly.
Perform other duties assigned by Supervisors.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks in an efficient manner.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues as well as read schematics in various departments.
May be required to lift more than 40 lbs. at times.
Has general understanding of maintenance.
Ability to read/write/communicate in English.
Work experience pertaining to mechanical field of 1 year or greater.
Ability to use multimeters and electronic test equipment, read schematics and diagrams.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 year Associates degree in a Maintenance related field or military MOS.
- Certifications and/or Registered license in Mechanical field.
