Soldering Technician

Job Title: Soldering Technician (06‑12+ months contract)
Location: Minnesota, MN (Onsite)
Pay Range: $29–$30/hour
Job : 26‑04207

• Perform hand soldering and rework on electronic components (SMT & through‑hole) as per IPC‑A‑610 standards
• Assemble medical device sub‑assemblies using soldering irons, microscopes, and hand tools
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions
• Inspect solder joints and assemblies for defects, quality, and compliance
• Follow GMP, ISO 13485, and FDA regulations applicable to medical devices
• Maintain accurate documentation and batch records
• Handle sensitive electronic components following ESD and cleanroom protocols
• Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams to resolve issues
• Ensure adherence to safety, cleanliness, and contamination control standards

• Diploma / Bachelor / Certification in Electronics, Electrical
• Proven experience in precision soldering (medical devices or electronics manufacturing preferred)
• Knowledge of IPC soldering standards (IPC‑A‑610, J‑STD‑001)
• Experience with SMT and through‑hole soldering
• Ability to work with microscopes and fine‑pitch components
• Strong attention to detail and quality mindset
• Basic understanding of lean manufacturing and quality systems
