Responsibilities- Drive production performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost by implementing effective planning, scheduling, and performance management practices.
- Set clear expectations and provide ongoing leadership, coaching, and accountability to the operations team.
- Develop, implement, and enforce operational systems, policies, and procedures that support reliable and scalable operations.
- Build and sustain a capable workforce through strategic hiring, onboarding, training, and employee engagement.
- Promote professional development by identifying growth opportunities and supporting skill advancement.
- Evaluate performance, provide constructive feedback, and address employee relations issues through timely investigation and resolution.
- Monitor production workflows to maintain optimal throughput and adjust schedules to meet changing demands.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction, efficiency gains, and resource optimization using Lean principles.
- Champion cross-functional collaboration to resolve process issues and drive operational alignment.
- Ensure adherence to product quality standards through robust quality control and assurance programs.
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal quality requirements.
- Oversee equipment reliability through preventive maintenance programs and efficient use of maintenance resources.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment while continuously strengthening workplace safety initiatives.
- Maintain technical and leadership expertise by participating in training, industry forums, and benchmarking activities.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed to support operational effectiveness and company objectives.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in custom automotive assembly within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of quality control, waste reduction, etc.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to implement lean initiatives.
- Ability to perform desk work as well as production activities.
