Cross-Functional Team Member

Overview

We are looking to hire a cross-functional team member. The Assembler position assembles Jonti-Craft product. This includes understanding the quality and process for all products and maintaining the area. They coordinate with the upcoming shift to address changeovers.

• Ability to work in multiple areas as needed.
• Conduct quality checks on products constantly.
• Communicate with QA when a part or quality issue needs review.
• Use the computer system to look up information as necessary.
• Handle an air screw gun.
• Understand the building process.
• Presence in the workplace is an essential function of this job.

• Understands workload and product flow.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Keen awareness of all safety needs and requirements.
• Ability to read CAD drawings or ability to learn this.
• Full understanding of all gluing procedures.
• Excellent understanding of measurements, particularly the metric system.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English for safety purposes in an understandable manner.

Our production environment is typical for wood manufacturing and includes loud noise, dust, and aromas. While this is an indoor operation, temperatures vary with outdoor temperature and some areas of the shop may be hot or cold. Workers may be subject to vibration and moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles and/or heat.

Production positions are physically demanding and may be strenuous. They involve standing, frequent walking, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. There are many body movements, including extending arms, grasping with hands, and wrist flexion. There may be bending and twisting. Workers must have the physical capability to perform essential functions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push or pull up to 150 lbs.

Ability to stand for long periods.
