Weekend Press Brake Operator

Overview

Join a growing team in Lake Crystal, MN! You will work as a Press Brake Operator. • Setting up and operating machines that cut, bend, saw, and punch steel into parts for the assembly process
• Assisting with continuous process improvement and lean initiatives by following process flow, remaining flexible to complete tasks as part of the team, maintaining a clean work environment, and offering suggestions for improvements
• Moving materials between work centers as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Plasma tables, brake presses, drill presses, saws, manual lathes, Laser, iron worker, overhead hoists, forklift trucks, computer, hand tools, power tools, measuring devices such as micrometers and t-squares

Safety glasses, safety shoes with metatarsal guards, ear plugs, gloves, tinted face shield

Day Shift: 5:45am - 4:15pm, Monday-Thursday (Overtime available on Fridays)

• Must have basic math knowledge to set up and operate machines accurately.
• Ability to manually move product and materials up to 50 lbs. through regular heavy physical exertion, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and bending. Using the overhead hoists requires ability to push and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and complicated instructions, blueprints, measuring devices, and perform basic computer data entry.
• Must have a wide field of vision for coordinated efforts with co-workers to move product and materials between manipulations.
• Ability to stand and work in various positions on concrete for several hours at a time.
• Must be a team player working with co-workers, other departments and/or other facilities. Focus is on meeting company goals and initiatives.
• Ability to learn operations of multiple machines/jigs within a job area and rotate jobs to meet schedule, team needs or safety recommendations.
• Must work at a reasonable pace (production efficiency) and within quality standards; overtime may be required to meet customer needs.
• Must work in a safe manner following safety procedures, including wearing PPE, completing maintenance requests and communicating hazards to co-workers and management.

• Wage Expectations: $22.00 to $30.00 per hour
• Pay:
  This is a non-exempt, hourly position and employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis
• Typical Schedule:
  
  Three (3) twelve-hour days Fri-Sun;
  Overtime may be available during the week.
