Press Brake Operator

Join our production team as a Press Brake Operator in Lake Crystal, MN. We offer a $1,000 retention bonus and pay range from $22.00/hr to $30.00/hr comprehensive benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Vacation and Holidays, 401(k) with employer matching contributions and more.

• Setting up and operating machines that will cut, bend, saw, and punch steel into parts used in the assembly process.
• Assisting with continuous process improvement and lean initiatives by following process flow, remaining flexible to complete tasks as part of the team, maintaining a clean work environment and offering suggestions for improvements, etc.
• Moving materials between work centers as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Plasma tables, brake presses, drill presses, saws, manual lathes, laser, iron worker, overhead hoists, forklift trucks, computer, hand tools, power tools, measuring devices such as micrometers and t-squares.

• Safety glasses, safety shoes with metatarsal guards, ear plugs, gloves, tinted face shield, etc.

Day Shift: 5:45am - 4:15pm, Monday-Thursday (Overtime available on Fridays).

• Basic math knowledge to set up and operate machines accurately.
• Ability to manually move product and materials up to 50 lbs. through regular heavy physical exertion, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and bending. Using overhead hoists requires ability to push and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and complicated instructions, blueprints, measuring devices, and perform basic computer data entry.
• Wide field of vision for coordinated efforts with co‑workers to move product and materials between manipulations.
• Ability to stand and work in various positions on concrete for several hours at a time.
• Team player working with co‑workers, other departments and/or other TBEI facilities. Focus on meeting company goals and initiatives.
• Ability to learn operations of multiple machines/jigs within a job area and regularly rotate jobs to meet schedule or safety recommendations.
• Must work at a reasonable pace (measured by production efficiency) and within quality standards to ensure timely completion of tasks and must work overtime as required to meet customer needs.
• Must work in a safe manner following safety procedures, including wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), completing maintenance requests and communicating hazards to co‑workers and management.

• Wage: $22.00 to $30.00 per hour.
