Description

Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors related to the specific position, including skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions. While the full range is shared for transparency, offers are rarely made at the minimum or maximum of the range.

Shift: Monday - Thursday 5:00 a.m.

- 3:30 p.m.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
  • Operate CNC machines to perform one or more machine functions on a variety of materials to produce parts and components.
  • Review order, control plan, router, job traveler, inspection instructions to determine sequencing, finished work-piece dimensions, and numerical control sequences.
  • Load and unload work-pieces.
  • Perform work-piece inspection using basic gaging techniques to check accuracy against blueprints/specifications.
  • Perform surface finish operations by sanding and deburring.
  • Monitor work-pieces and equipment throughout the machining process to detect issues.
  • Maintain coolant and hydraulic oil levels and perform routine preventive maintenance checks.
  • Handle inventory material, including retrieval, movement, and storage of material, tooling, and work-pieces.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe environment and uphold 5S standards. Comply with safety rules including PPE and OSHA standards.
  • Participate in Lean initiatives to eliminate wastes such as overproduction, defects, transportation, waiting, inventory, motion, and over-processing.
  • Use ERP system for data collection, time, and attendance.
  • Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, decimals, etc.).
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient reading, writing, oral communication, and comprehension in English.
  • Ability to learn basic blueprint reading and inspection skills.
  • Ability to adjust offsets if required.
  • Ability to operate multiple machines.
  • Willingness to learn and ask for help when needed.
  • Punctual and good attendance.
  • Cooperative attitude, shares critical information, and remains professional in difficult situations.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
  • Ability to learn basic machine axes.
  • Must be able to pass an annual visual exam (20-20, corrected, uncorrected, one eye).
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Prior CNC operator experience.
  • Experience in a general manufacturing role.
  • CNC machine technology or related certification.
