We here at Massman Companies are looking for someone to join our talented team on days in Villard, MN. Someone who knows their way around a lathe, loves working with their hands, and brings craftsmanship to every cut.

Requirements
Key Skills
- Set up and operate manual lathes to machine custom parts
- Ability to know the types of material (aluminum, steel, and stainless)
- Ability to use measuring tools (Caliper, Micrometer, etc)
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Experience running manual lathes (not just CNC) and other manual machine tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and high attention, and reliable work ethic
- Knowledge of metal properties, cutting speeds, and feeds
- Familiarity with tolerances and surface finishes
- 2-year degree and or experience in the field
- 3+ years of experience operating a manual lathe preferred
- Vocational or technical training in machining is a plus
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Basic Computer skills
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs as needed
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment (noise, dust, grease, etc)
