Overview
Production Technician 1st Shift s is an entry-level role in the pharmaceutical industry focusing on animal health, with opportunities to learn and advance within a supportive environment.
As a Production Technician, you’ll report to the Production Manager or Supervisor. Your primary responsibilities include packaging and inspecting finished products, setting up, operating, and troubleshooting packaging machinery, and ensuring that all production processes meet our high standards.
Shift Availability: 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities- Safety First:
Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. - Machine Operation:
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot filling and packaging machinery to maintain optimal production flow. - Quality Control:
Conduct thorough visual inspections of products to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with cGMP regulations, addressing any issues immediately. - Production Documentation:
Complete and maintain all necessary documentation related to production, including batch records and equipment logs, ensuring compliance with FDA and inventory policies. - Cleaning and Maintenance:
Perform and document routine cleaning of equipment and packaging areas, ensuring they are ready for production and adhere to cleanliness standards. - Training Support:
Assist in training new team members, sharing knowledge to help them understand processes and standards. - Cross-Training Opportunities:
Be open to cross-training for other duties within the production area, fostering a versatile skill set. - Respirator Use:
Wear a respirator when required, which necessitates a clean-shaven face and passing a medical examination/fit testing.
- 0-2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- A natural mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Ability to take directions and work collaboratively within a team.
- Capacity to lift 20-40 pounds frequently and maintain a fast-paced work ethic.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong attention to detail and good documentation skills, with clear and legible handwriting.
- Good manual handling skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.
- Previous experience in the pharmaceutical or food industry, especially in production settings.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with FDA compliant facilities and quality assurance processes.
- Mechanical or equipment training is advantageous.
- Experience in continuous improvement practices to enhance production efficiency.
- Leadership potential and abilities, with a drive to contribute positively to the team environment.
