Food Production Associate - 1st Shift

E.A. Sween Company invites applicants for the Food Production Associate‑1st shift role. E.A. Sween, founded in 1955, is a family‑owned, professionally managed food production company committed to feeding millions daily with high‑quality products.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to uphold food safety and product integrity.
  • Consistently follow safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by Supervisor or Lead and collaborate with team members from diverse backgrounds.
  • Maintain excellent attendance and show flexibility in work schedules as needed.
  • Execute food safety, quality, and continuous improvement activities to meet SQF 2000, regulatory, and customer standards.
  • Report any non‑compliance to the Pack‑off Lead or Support Supervisor.
  • Contribute to a clean, safe, and organized work area, completing mandatory quarterly safety training.
  • Rotate through all production positions every 30 minutes, following standard operating procedures for each role (Box Maker, Boxer, Racker, etc.).
  • Operate and maintain equipment and tools such as dollies, racks, bun trays, pallets, and labeling systems.
  • Ensure safe storage and transport of pallets, racks, and dollies in support of the company’s Zero Safety Incidents policy.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous assembly line experience in a high‑speed packaging environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional Saturdays.
  • Read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic math skills for accurate counting and verification of products.
  • Reliable attendance and a teamwork‑oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Food‑related experience.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet customer demands.
