Position

Purpose:

Lead the strategic direction, enterprise integration, and transformational growth of a business unit with significant impact across the organization. The Senior Director, Business Unit Leader, is accountable for long‑term business performance, innovation, and cultural stewardship. This role drives market leadership, operational excellence, and talent development at scale, while influencing enterprise‑wide priorities and shaping future capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Enterprise Strategy & Market Leadership (20%)
    Set multi‑year strategic direction aligned with enterprise goals and market foresight. Lead competitive intelligence and scenario planning to anticipate disruption and shape proactive strategies. Influence corporate strategy through deep market insight and business unit performance.
  • Customer‑Centric Innovation & Growth (15%)
    Drive customer‑led innovation across product, service, and experience dimensions. Establish strategic partnerships and ecosystems to expand market reach and relevance. Champion differentiated growth platforms that balance core business optimization with adjacent and transformational opportunities.
  • Financial Leadership & Value Creation (20%)
    Own and optimize P&L with a focus on long‑term enterprise value and capital efficiency. Lead investment strategy, resource allocation, and portfolio management across the business unit. Translate complex financial data into strategic decisions and stakeholder narratives.
  • Operational Excellence & Scalable Execution (10%)
    Architect scalable operating models that enable agility, precision, and cross‑functional alignment. Lead enterprise‑level initiatives that improve productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction. Embed digital and data capabilities to enhance decision‑making and execution velocity.
  • Organizational Leadership & Talent Strategy (15%)
    Build future‑ready organizational capabilities through strategic workforce planning and talent development. Sponsor enterprise talent programs and succession pipelines. Foster a high‑performance culture rooted in trust, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Enterprise Collaboration & Influence (5%)
    Serve as a key integrator across business units and corporate functions to drive enterprise outcomes. Influence cross‑functional governance and decision‑making forums. Represent the business unit in executive‑level discussions, shaping enterprise priorities and resource decisions.
  • Transformation & Change Leadership (10%)
    Lead complex change initiatives with clarity, empathy, and resilience. Mobilize teams around a compelling vision and purpose, navigating ambiguity and resistance. Reinforce cultural values through leadership behaviors and organizational rituals.
  • Strategic Judgment & Leadership Under Complexity (5%)
    Make high‑impact decisions in dynamic, uncertain environments. Balance strategic risk with disciplined execution. Demonstrate courage, integrity, and clarity in moments of complexity and pressure, supporting team well‑being and resilience.
Qualification And Skill Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, advanced degree, or equivalent experience in strategic leadership roles preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in business unit or enterprise roles.
  • Proven success in leading complex, cross‑functional teams and delivering sustained business growth.
  • Deep expertise in market strategy, customer engagement, product innovation, and financial stewardship.
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
