General Manager​/Grower

To plan, direct, and coordinate all aspects of our wholesale greenhouse operation. To efficiently grow and maintain the highest standard of annual plants.

• Oversee all aspects of annual crop culture and growing procedures
• Execute cultural practices including fertilization, IPM, and PGR applications
• Develop new techniques or methods for growing high quality plant material
• Obtain and maintain a Commercial Pesticide License
• Receiving and shipping
• Maintain clean and tidy work areas

• Propose yearly facilities budget for general maintenance and improvements
• Coordinate truck deliveries of plants, supplies, and hard goods.
• Maintain current and valid Driver’s License with DOT Medical Certificate

Background in horticulture is a plus, but not required. Management experience is preferred along with a strong desire to learn.

This is a physical job that requires you to be on your feet for the duration of your shift. Must have the ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, bending, reaching, walking, pushing and pulling carts, handling and sorting of materials. Must be able to lift 10-20 lbs.
