Position Summary

Assists in overseeing branch organizational, financial, operational, service and growth plans and staff to ensure branch success and to become members’ primary financial institution of choice. Maintains direct responsibility for the day‑to‑day operations of the Banking Consulting staff and ensures the branch culture is professional and focused on sales and service. Underwrites, structures, and closes consumer loans, as well as maintains and services an existing portfolio.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • When Branch Manager is absent, takes responsibility for the operation of the branch, including personnel, service, and business performance.
  • Partners with the Branch Manager on developing the branch business plan, goals, and budget, and assists in reporting all branch operating results.
  • Identifies and makes recommendations to the Branch Manager on policy and procedure changes, provides regular reporting to management, and implements new or revised changes.
  • Ensures staff understand and adhere to procedures, policies, and relevant state and federal regulations, providing guidance and serving as a subject‑matter expert.
  • Performs member transactions, consults with members on product features and benefits, recommends products based on member financial needs, and makes referrals.
  • Enhances member relationships through follow‑up activities, including outbound calls.
  • Creates a remarkable member experience by responding to and providing resolutions to member requests with expertise.
  • Performs opening and/or closing duties for the branch.
  • Selects, oversees, trains, and manages the performance of Banking Consultants I and II, provides coaching and feedback, makes hiring decisions, writes performance reviews, and submits compensation recommendations.
  • Manages staff coverage levels and coordinates employee work, performs routine and complex member transactions accurately and efficiently, and processes new account applications.
  • Coordinates collections/negotiations on problem loans.
  • Maintains cash drawer, vault, and ATM machines.
  • Interviews and closes consumer loans, approving or denying loans within lending authority and recommending loans above authority, while maintaining knowledge of other loan types.
  • Actively participates in community relations efforts to promote the mission and visibility of Magnifi Financial.
Education and Experience
  • Associate’s degree in business, finance, or an equivalent business‑related field.
  • Three years’ work experience in a financial institution and two years of supervisory/managerial experience in a customer service position; or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through a minimum of six years of related work experience. Preferably supervisory or managerial experience in a financial institution.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range: $52,731–$79,096 per year. Total compensation may include bonuses, performance‑based incentives, commission, and discretionary bonuses.
