Our mission is to provide our customers with efficient and reliable metal recycling services while minimizing the environmental impact of our operations. EMR recycles ten million tons of material annually, including beverage cans, aircraft carriers, copper, aluminum, brass and stainless steel – converting them into more than 200 different sustainable raw materials.
Position SummaryAs a Site Manager at EMR, you’ll support core operations and help advance our sustainability mission. In this role, you’ll lead a skilled team, represent EMR to local customers and oversee site safety, material flow, inventory and shipping to keep operations running safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Work to create an excellent experience for customers and employees while minimizing costs and maximizing volume and margin at the facility.
- Oversee preventive checks, maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities.
- Ensure accuracy of stock through systems management.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements.
- Oversee work products of third‑party contractors.
- Ensure compliance with city, county, state and federal regulations.
- Analyze data, set goals, make recommendations and perform other duties.
- Management/supervisory experience of daily operations, especially in an industrial environment.
- Hands‑on experience operating equipment and machinery.
- Experience in the recycling or demolition industry, with knowledge of scrap metal commodities.
- Experience leading a team and a commitment to developing employees.
- Excel skills and the ability to learn our proprietary software.
- PMP certification or similar accreditation.
