  • Disinfect sinks, toilets, urinals, and showers
  • Sweep and mop floors
  • Restock soap, hand towels, and toilet paper
• Clean horizontal and vertical surfaces
  • Clean glass, walls, woodwork, vents, and light fixtures
  • Clean windowsills, desktops, and classroom board

  • Collect trash/recycle material and place it in designated outside containers
  • Clean all indoor trash and recycling bins
• Maintenance tasks
  • Remove snow from building entrances, sidewalks, and steps
  • Unplug sink and toilet drains

  • Assist in buildings with staff shortages

• Reports to the Custodial Supervisor.
• This position does not supervise staff or students.

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Stable work history.

• Education: Vocational/Technical school training.
• Previous cleaning experience; operational experience with floor machines, hydraulic man‑lift, snow blowers.

• Employment is conditioned upon successful completion of a background check which may include criminal background checks, reference checks, verification of work history, academic credentials, licenses, certification, a motor vehicle check, DOT certification, a credit check, employment eligibility verification, and/or a pre‑employment physical. Whether a background check is deemed successfully completed will be at the sole discretion of St. Olaf College; the College reserves the right to conduct periodic background checks at its sole discretion.
