Overview
Facilities Specialist (Project Management)
SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, the Facilities Specialist performs general building and grounds maintenance, in accordance with all applicable building codes on all entities and properties under the control of Lake Leaf Cultivation.
- Respond to work orders daily, according to facility needs, and completing tasks on schedule.
- Communicate with appropriate management for coordination and implementation of tasks and timelines.
- Ensure use and labeling of all cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment in accordance with the manufacturers instructions as outlined in the Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Maintain strict adherence to all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety rules and regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance of building components and mechanical equipment, and update replacement inventory as needed.
- Accountable for the cleanliness and overall condition of the property and grounds when performing tasks.
- Safely use a variety of carpenter hand, power, and shop tools and maintain them in proper operating condition.
- Operate equipment such as pneumatic tools, electronic equipment, scaffolding, and motorized lifts.
- Perform general and finish carpentry working the alteration, repair, and maintenance of structures throughout the property.
- Apply wall coverings, paint, stain, and sealers to interior and/or exterior surfaces.
- Perform special refinishing tasks including surface preparation, sanding, mudding, taping, caulking, staining, sealing, and texturing.
- Perform maintenance on office buildings, to include doors, closures, buffing machines, desks, etc.
- Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance according to procedures on chillers, boilers and other building system equipment, water heaters, plumbing, etc., and basic electrical repairs to ensure minimal downtime of equipment.
- Perform ground maintenance activities, such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, and raking and disposing of leaves and refuse.
- Monitor inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies, reordering as needed.
- Requisition s tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Two (2) years experience in building/grounds maintenance or occupationally significant combinations of vocational education and/or on-the-job training.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS- Must be able to secure license from Cannabis Regulatory Authority.
- Responsible for following all relevant cannabis laws and regulations.
- Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.
- Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and lift equipment or plants up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
- Reside within a distance that allows for a regular on-site presence.
- Indoor cultivation facility with controlled temperatures and humidity levels.
- Working outside in the elements.
- Exposure to strong odors and varying noise levels.
- Frequent use of sharp tools and trimming equipment.
- Standing or sitting for long periods while performing repetitive tasks.
- Compliance with strict hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Collaborative team environment with communication between multiple departments.
- Adherence to safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe workspace.
