Base pay range: $66,560.00/yr - $74,880.00/yr

Hourly pay: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour, depending on qualifications, education, and prior experience

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Floating Maintenance Technician to join our team and provide exceptional maintenance support at multifamily communities. You will respond to service requests promptly and professionally, ensuring the property’s appearance, safety, and functionality meet our high standards.

Responsibilities
  • Represent IPG positively and professionally at all times.
  • Complete assigned work orders and preventive maintenance, diagnosing defects and making repairs per established policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements.
  • Access and obtain materials, supplies, equipment, and tools from the maintenance department, tracking inventory, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor of re‑ordering needs.
  • Perform general community and facilities maintenance under minimum supervision, meeting quality and production standards.
  • Promote positive, proactive resident relations by demonstrating fair and consistent treatment during all interactions.
  • Assist with inspections and upkeep of the property and common areas daily to detect maintenance problems.
  • Follow the preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Contribute to occupancy goals and enhance resident living experience through effective maintenance tasks.
  • Serve as a resource for management and assist in developing and communicating more efficient maintenance methods.
  • Participate in after‑hour and emergency coverage rotation.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician at a multifamily community of 100+ units.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, time‑management, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to respond to after‑hour emergencies and participate in an on‑call rotation.
  • Experience and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repairs (stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers, etc.).
  • Supply own hand tools and possess knowledge of safe use of hand tools, power tools, mechanical equipment, and measuring devices.
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
