Job – Substitute Custodian – Temporary positions as a Substitute Custodian in the district for the school on call as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods of time
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
• Availability to work flexible hours
• Must pass a background check and pre-work screening

Pay Rate/Range: $21.76/hr.

Compensation/Benefits:

An employee earns one hour of sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked and can earn a maximum of 48 hours each year.

The Substitute Custodian will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of assigned areas within the facility. This is a substitute position and the employee will be called upon as needed to fill in for the regular custodian.

• Regular custodial duties as it applies to the position
• Ensure that all cleaning equipment and supplies are properly stored and maintained
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned
