Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient position, requiring a current PT license and a minimum of one year of outpatient or inpatient experience.
Responsibilities- Primarily outpatient physical therapy with 80-90% of caseload, and 10-20% inpatient or swing bed coverage
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no weekend shifts
- Patient load averages 10-13 patients per day
- Uses EPIC for documentation; prior experience is preferred
- Position requires flexibility with job territory
- Locals are accepted at the travel rate
- Main duties include planning, organizing, and implementing individualized treatment programs based on patient needs
- Work as part of an experienced, highly engaged interdisciplinary team
- Business casual attire required
- Free residential parking is available
- COVID-19 and flu vaccine declinations are accepted
- All required compliance documentation must be completed before starting work; compliance may take 2-3 weeks
- All requests for time off must be submitted with application and will not be accepted after a job offer is made
- Candidates with qualities such as teamwork, a can-do attitude, strong patient focus, punctuality, and initiative are valued
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Active Physical Therapist license required; will consider applicants with pending state license if applicable
- Minimum one year of recent experience in PT outpatient or inpatient settings
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program with a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy
- Current BLS certification required
- Technical knowledge of electronic medical records, preferably Epic
