Honor Vet Technologies is seeking a travel Certified Surgical Technologist for a travel job in Redwood Falls, Minnesota.

Title: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)
Location: Minnesota
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift – 3x8-Hour (07:00–15:30 or 11:00–19:30)

Job Responsibilities
  • Function as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) providing perioperative support in the Operating Room

  • Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, sterile drapes, and supplies

  • Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures in accordance with AORN and facility standards

  • Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies

  • Perform surgical counts (sponges, needles, instruments) and ensure accuracy before, during, and after procedures

  • Anticipate surgeon needs and respond quickly during operative cases

  • Assist with patient positioning, skin preparation, and application of sterile solutions

  • Handle specimens according to protocol and ensure proper labeling and transport

  • Clean and restock operating rooms following procedures

  • Participate in on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays, with a required call response time

  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and interdisciplinary OR staff to ensure patient safety

  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times

Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Surgical Tech / Certified OR Tech – required

  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile techniques

  • Ability to work variable start times in a fast-paced operating room environment

  • Comfortable taking call and working weekends and holidays as scheduled

  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills

  • Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure surgical situations

Required Certifications & Licensure
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Required

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required

  • Active Minnesota Surgical Technologist license – Required at time of submission

  • Compliance with facility vaccination requirements (medical/religious exemptions as applicable)
