A Day in the Life of a Patient Access - Registration (PAS)

The Patient Access Specialist-Registration role primarily involves processing patient registrations accurately and efficiently, ensuring all pertinent data is collected at the point of entry. This position requires constant engagement with patients and their representatives, handling sensitive information with discretion and adhering to privacy protocols. Challenges include navigating high-stress situations and managing complex data under tight deadlines. The specialist collaborates closely with billing, coding, and other registration staff to enhance registration accuracy and address discrepancies.

A typical day involves multitasking between direct patient interactions, document management, and intra-departmental communication, all aimed at maximizing both operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required
  • Successful completion of data entry and clerical assessments administered by Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Staff.

The pay range is listed above. Actual pay rate offered is determined based on experience in this role. Please be sure to include all applicable experience in your application.
