Schedule: part-time, 10 - 16 hours per week
Location: Wayzata, Minnesota
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Position SummaryThe Resident Engagement Coordinator is responsible for creating a welcoming, supportive, and engaging environment for elderly and disabled residents at Boardwalk Apartments. This role focuses on planning and coordinating on-site activities, fostering social connections, and building partnerships with community organizations to support resident well-being. This is not a direct-care or medical position; the focus is on engagement, resources, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities Resident Activities & Engagement- Plan, schedule, and host regular resident activities (e.g., bingo, crafts, educational sessions, holiday events, wellness programs).
- Create and distribute monthly activity calendars, flyers, and notices.
- Encourage resident participation and provide support to help residents feel comfortable attending events.
- Gather resident feedback and adjust programming based on interest, ability, and needs.
- Build and maintain relationships with local agencies, nonprofits, senior centers, disability services, and other community partners.
- Coordinate on-site presentations or resource fairs (e.g., health screenings, financial literacy, safety talks).
- Connect residents to available community resources (transportation programs, meal services, benefits assistance, etc.) and provide basic information or referrals.
- Serve as a friendly, visible point of contact for residents with questions about activities and resources.
- Promote a respectful, inclusive community environment that supports elderly and disabled residents' independence.
- Assist Management with communication about community events, policy reminders related to common areas, and resident meetings.
- Maintain attendance records, activity logs, and simple reports for management.
- Assist with budgeting for activities and events within approved guidelines.
- Coordinate use of common spaces for events and ensure areas are clean and set up appropriately.
- Follow all Fair Housing, MN housing requirements, and company policies when interacting with residents and outside agencies.
