Location: Aitkin
Overview
FULLTIME INTENSIVE IN HOME FAMILY SERVICES (I.I.F.S.) FOR HIGH-RISK YOUTH AND FAMILIES PROGRAM. LICENSURE CANDIDATE, OR THERAPIST - CROW WING COUNTY.
* Licensure Candidate: $73-75k (DOE)
* Licensed Therapist: $78k-$90k (DOE)
Responsibilities- Serve in a “Circle of Courage” community with 4 core values of Belonging, Mastery, Independence, and Generosity. Belonging is key: everyone feels they are a significant part of the local team and is listened to. Attend one Belonging gathering per month, plus other meetings for case staffings and training.
- Provide Intensive In-Home Family Services 2-3 times per week per case, collaborating with community agencies with mental health services to children at risk and their families. Services are primarily in families' homes, and may include work in the community and schools.
- Connect with other agencies (customers) who are working with the youth to wrap services around the child.
- Scheduling: focus on helping the family and child, often during non-traditional hours (after school and evenings). Some staff work Saturdays to balance evening sessions. Available for crisis calls. Positions offer flexibility to set own schedule.
- Documenting: complete case notes and billable hours as required.
- Billing: full-time staff provide approximately 109 client hours per month out of 173 working hours (40 hours x 4.3 weeks). Average client hours are 26-28 hours per week.
Licensure Candidate:
- Completed master's degree and working toward licensure (LICSW, LPCC, LMFT, or LP). Licensure supervision provided.
Licensed Therapist:
- Fully Licensed Mental Health Professional (LICSW, LPCC, LMFT, or LP).
- Demonstrated ability to work with children and families experiencing mental health issues in a direct care role.
- Familiar with a variety of counseling techniques and theories to aid in care and treatment, such as behavior modification for children, child development education, communication, decision-making skills, anger management, social skills, leisure, self-esteem, and basic daily living skills for the family.
