We are accepting applications for our next Practicum starting in August 2025. Practica run for approximately 10 months, depending on students' needs and academic program requirements. Although not required, year-long placements are preferred to ensure continuity for clients. The Clinic offers a doctoral-level psychological assessment practicum placement.
While the clinic serves clients across the lifespan, practicum students can focus on the client population that aligns with their learning goals.
Responsibilities- Providing psychological assessments to children, families, and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Participating in case consultation, documentation, and supervision.
- Completing assessments, scoring, and report writing for clients aged 6 and up, focusing on concerns like ADHD, learning disabilities, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and diagnostic clarification.
- Completed coursework in ethics, counseling theories, psychopathology, and cognitive assessment.
- Interest in working with families within a relational context.
- Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
Students are expected to be on-site at the Wayzata clinic location and to begin practicum after completing most degree requirements to ensure educational quality.
About Lorenz ClinicLorenz Clinic of Family Psychology is a multidisciplinary outpatient clinic serving children, adults, families, couples, and groups in the Twin Cities suburbs. Our team includes child specialists, couples counselors, adult therapists, and psychiatric nurses. We focus on underserved populations and provide comprehensive mental health services, collaborating with community resources for effective treatment.
